Info: Lidt af en klassiker blandt de mere mainstream-orienterede støttealbums, og en god repræsentant for den bredde, som den folkelige modstand nåede i kampen mod apartheid i Sydafrika op gennem 1980'erne. Pladen er et opråb om international kulturel boykot af den 'hvide' luksusferieressort Sun City, der stod symbol på apartheidregimets groteske diskrimation og den rige vestlige verdens ansvar for at vedligeholde systemet.

En række stjerner spiller lidt af hvert med Sun City som bærende nummer.

Info: Bit of a classic among the more mainstream-oriented benefit albums, and a good representative of the breadth of popular opposition reached in the struggle against apartheid in South Africa during the 1980s. The record is a call for international cultural boycott of the 'white' luxurious holiday resort Sun City, which was symbolic of the apartheid regime's grotesque discrimination and the rich western world's responsibility for supporting the system.

Som det fx klart demonstreres på denne (klassiske) samling fra Jelle Biafra's Alternative Tentacles label, udgivet for at markere pladeselskabets album nr. 100. 15 af Dead Kennedys højdepunkter fortolket af et heftigt line-up.

Info: Heavy Metal og Graa Blog er en sjælden blanding, så her er undtagelsen, der bekræfter reglen. Tyske Rumble Militia er et af de få eksempler på et heavy band med en klar antifascistisk og antikapitalistisk dagsorden. Destroy Fascism er et Greatest Hits album, der samler op på bandets bedste numre fra anden halvdel af 1980'erne.

Info: To navne lyser op på den tyske venstrefløjs hip hop scene i de unge år i 1990'erne. Det ene er Microphone Mafia, og det andet er Anarchist Academy, hvis første album Graa Blog her har fornøjelsen af at præsentere. Anarchist Academy var aktive fra 1992, men stoppede som gruppe omkring år 2000.  Medlemmerne dukker dog stadig op på scenen. Således indgår Deadly T i La Resistance, det nye tyske supernavn inden for bevidst tysk hip hop.

Ol' school hip hop i ordenes bedste forstand med kritiske og anarkistiske tekster - på tysk (og lidt engelsk).

Info: Two names lights up the German Left hip hop scene in the early years of the 1990s. One is Microphone Mafia, and the second is Anarchist Academy, whose first album Grey Blog here have the pleasure to present. Anarchist Academy was active from 1992, but stopped as a group around 2000. Members of the group are still active, though. Info: I disse dage er det 37 år siden, at Salvador Allende og hans progressive regering blev styrtet ved et blodigt militærkup i Chile. Graa Blog bringer derfor et album udgivet i anledningen af det chilenske socialist partis 45 års jubilæum i 1978, altså fem år efter kuppet. Den noget skrattende plade byder ikke mindst på optagelser af taler af Salvador Allende, herunder den sidste han fik mulighed for at holde.

Info: In these days it is 37 years ago, Salvador Allende and his progressive government was overthrown by a bloody military coup in Chile. Graa Blog brings therefore an album released on the occasion of the Chilean Socialist Party's 45 year anniversary in 1978, ie five years after the coup. Info: Den ultimative samling for St. Pauli fans. 100 dedikerede fansange til arbejderklubben fra Hamburg krydret med 24 begejstrede kommentatorklip og lydbilleder fra Millerntor stadion. Fodboldsange og høj musikalsk kvalitet hænger sjældent sammen og heller ikke her. Men engagementet og kærligheden til klubben er ikke til at komme uden om.

Samlingen byder mest på tysksproget rock i diverse afskygninger, men St. Paulis brede fangruppe afspejler sig trods alt også på samlingen.

Info: De seneste tre år har tyske NorthEast Antifascist først på efteråret smidt et mixtape på gaden med en tour de force hen over især den tyske hip hop scenes bedste navne. Om der kommer en 2010-udgave, vides endnu ikke, men man har lov at håbe, for hidtil har samlingerne budt på mange heftigt gode numre. Tyskland set fra venstre - og kraftigt anbefalet.....

Hovedindtrykket er hip hop, men der er også afstikkere til electro, jungle og reggae.

Info: The past three years, German Northeast Anti-Fascist has in early autumn thrown a mixtape on the street with a tour de force over especially the German hip hop scenes best names. Whether there will be a 2010 edition, is not yet known, but you are allowed to hope for past sessions offered many fiercely good numbers. Germany seen from the left - and strongly recommended .....

Info: Comrade Malone stammer fra det nordvestlige London, hvilket man ikke er i tvivl om, når man hører hans umiskendeligt engelske accent på en bund af lige så typisk britisk hip hop lyd. Comrade Malone lægger ikke fingrende i mellem i sin rap, og albummet er dedikeret til Alexis Grigoropoulos, den 15-årige studerende, der blev dræbt af politiet under protesterne i Grækenland i december 2008.

VA - Piratfest 11.11.11.

Info: Graa Blog præsenterede for nyligt en helt ny piratcd fra 2010, som siden er hentet i det hidtil største antal i bloggens historie. Det skal markeres - og det sker med en klassiker i genren og vel sagtens en af de tidligste piratcd'ere uddelt i København. Denne ramte gaden ved en piratfest på Bispevej 2 i København den 11. 2006 november kl. 23.00 (hvoraf titlen).

Kort og godt: piratmusik!

Info: Grey Blog recently presented an entirely new piratcd from 2010, which has since been retrieved in the largest number in the blog's history. It should be highlighted - and this happens with a classic in the genre and surely one of the earliest piratcd'ere distributed in Copenhagen. This hit the street at a pirate party at 2 Bispevej in Copenhagen on 11 November 2006 at 23.00 (explaining the title).

In short: pirate music!

Info: Sejrs- og hyldestplade til den bolivianske præsident Evo Morales og partiet MAS - Movimiento Al Socialismo. Formentlig udgivet efter Evo Morales første valg som præsident i Bolivia - men bestemt værd at hive fat nu og sende en hilsen til kammeraterne i Bolivia.

Meget underholdende og stærkt autentisk folklore med masser af piber og trommer, som Graa Blog kan bekræfte er fremherskende i den bolivianske populærmusik. Mest på spansk, men også med tre numre på lokal oprindelig dialekt.

Info: Memorial and tribute album to the Bolivian president Evo Morales and the MAS party - Movimiento Al Socialismo. Probably released after Evo Morales first election as president in Bolivia - but certainly worth pulling out now as well and send a greeting to friends in Bolivia.

Very entertaining and highly authentic folklore with lots of pipes and drums, as Grey Blog can confirm is prevalent in the Bolivian popular music. Mostly in Spanish, but also with three numbers on the original local dialect.

Ukamau Y Ke - Para la Raza

Info: Bolivia gemmer på også på en lille, søgende og spændende hip hop scene, hvor der er plads til at kaste et kritisk blik på landets sociale muligheder eller manglen på samme. Ukamau Y Ke udspringer af den fattigste ungdom i El Alto - den hastigt voksende arbejderby, der ligger ved hovedstaden La Paz, og primært rummer arbejdere fra Bolivias oprindelige folk. Desværre blev bandets stifter og frontmand Abraham dræbt ved en bilulykke i 2009.

Para la Raza er hip hop med respekt for de bolivianske rødder og et vigtigt indspark på den latinamerikanske hip hop scene. Tekster med stor politisk og social indignation på spansk og lokale sprog. 

Info: Bolivia hides  a little, searching and exciting hip hop scene, where there is room to take a critical look at the social opportunities or the lack thereof. Ukamau Y Ke origins from the poorest youth in El Alto - the rapidly growing city of workers, located in the capital, La Paz,which mainly houses workers from Bolivia's indigenous peoples. Unfortunately, the band's founder and front man Abraham was killed in a car accident in 2009.

Para la Raza is hip hop with respect for the Bolivian roots and an important substantial input on the Latin American hip hop scene. Texts of major political and social outrage in Spanish and local languages.

VA - Ingen fucking grænser

Info: Helt ny tredje udgivelse fra PetCPH i striben af Ingen fucking..... compilations. Denne gang sigter de harske ord og den grumme retorik på nationalismen, chauvinismen og intolerancen, der næres bag grænserne. Uddelt ved en releasefest i Overdrevet den 16. april 2010.

Ingen fucking grænser byder især på nye danske hip hop tracks med høj aktualitet, men byder også på nedslag i genrer som dubstep og reggae.

Keny Arkana - Désobéissance

Info: Lørdag den 1. maj 2010 gæstede den eminente franske rapper Keny Arkana for første gang Skandinavien ved et brag af en koncert for Antifascistisk 1. maj i Fælledparken, København. Med saft og kraft gav hun de mange tusinde antifascister og andre gode mennesker, der var mødt frem, en fin prøve på hendes stærke, politiske sange. Koncerten var arrangeret af Antifascist Culturclub - og Graa Blog bringer her hendes seneste album.

Vel nok et af de stærkeste navne på den franske hip hop scene med fuldfede produktioner og skarpe tekster - på fransk.

Info: Saturday 1 May 2010 the eminent French rapper Keny Arkana for the first time visited Scandinavia a gave bang of a concert for Antifascist First of May in Fælledparken, Copenhagen. With lots of power she gave the thousands of anti fascists and other good people who had come forward, a good test of her strong political songs. Antifascist Culturclub hosted the concert - and Grey Blog brings here her latest album.

Probably one of the strongest names in the French hip hop scene today with excelent productions and sharp lyrics - in French.

Info: Lidt forsinket bringer Graa Blog en hyldest i anledning af 35 årsdagen den 30. april 2010 for Vietnams befrielse og genforening i form af en svensk solidaritetsplade fra 1971.
