Info: Graa Blog kom i en meget nylig post om Rumble Militia til at skrive, at der kun findes få heavy metal bands med en klar antifascistisk dagsorden. Det passer naturligvis ikke! Som det fx klart demonstreres på denne (klassiske) samling fra Jelle Biafra's Alternative Tentacles label, udgivet for at markere pladeselskabets album nr. 100. 15 af Dead Kennedys højdepunkter fortolket af et heftigt line-up.

Masser af heavy i alle afskygninger med solide doser punk og andet godt oveni.

Rumble Militia - Destroy Fascism

Info: Heavy Metal og Graa Blog er en sjælden blanding, så her er undtagelsen, der bekræfter reglen. Tyske Rumble Militia er et af de få eksempler på et heavy band med en klar antifascistisk og antikapitalistisk dagsorden. Destroy Fascism er et Greatest Hits album, der samler op på bandets bedste numre fra anden halvdel af 1980'erne.

Så skal der headbanges. Klassisk heavy, mest på engelsk.

Anarchist Academy - Am Rande des Abgrunds

Info: To navne lyser op på den tyske venstrefløjs hip hop scene i de unge år i 1990'erne. Det ene er Microphone Mafia, og det andet er Anarchist Academy, hvis første album Graa Blog her har fornøjelsen af at præsentere. Anarchist Academy var aktive fra 1992, men stoppede som gruppe omkring år 2000.  Medlemmerne dukker dog stadig op på scenen. Således indgår Deadly T i La Resistance, det nye tyske supernavn inden for bevidst tysk hip hop.

Ol' school hip hop i ordenes bedste forstand med kritiske og anarkistiske tekster - på tysk (og lidt engelsk).

Info: Two names lights up the German Left hip hop scene in the early years of the 1990s. One is Microphone Mafia, and the second is Anarchist Academy, whose first album Grey Blog here have the pleasure to present. Anarchist Academy was active from 1992, but stopped as a group around 2000. Members of the group are still active, though. VA - 45 Años de Lucha. Partido Socialista de Chile

Info: I disse dage er det 37 år siden, at Salvador Allende og hans progressive regering blev styrtet ved et blodigt militærkup i Chile. Graa Blog bringer derfor et album udgivet i anledningen af det chilenske socialist partis 45 års jubilæum i 1978, altså fem år efter kuppet. Den noget skrattende plade byder ikke mindst på optagelser af taler af Salvador Allende, herunder den sidste han fik mulighed for at holde.

Historisk optagelse med taler og chilensk folkemusik. På spansk. 

Info: In these days it is 37 years ago, Salvador Allende and his progressive government was overthrown by a bloody military coup in Chile. Graa Blog brings therefore an album released on the occasion of the Chilean Socialist Party's 45 year anniversary in 1978, ie five years after the coup. The somewhat scratchy plate offers not least on recordings of speeches by Salvador Allende, including the last he was able to keep.

VA - St. Pauli Erhundert

Info: Den ultimative samling for St. Pauli fans. 100 dedikerede fansange til arbejderklubben fra Hamburg krydret med 24 begejstrede kommentatorklip og lydbilleder fra Millerntor stadion. Fodboldsange og høj musikalsk kvalitet hænger sjældent sammen og heller ikke her. Men engagementet og kærligheden til klubben er ikke til at komme uden om.

Samlingen byder mest på tysksproget rock i diverse afskygninger, men St. Paulis brede fangruppe afspejler sig trods alt også på samlingen.

Comrade Malone & DJ Downlow - Spontaneous Revolt

Info: Comrade Malone stammer fra det nordvestlige London, hvilket man ikke er i tvivl om, når man hører hans umiskendeligt engelske accent på en bund af lige så typisk britisk hip hop lyd. Comrade Malone lægger ikke fingrende i mellem i sin rap, og albummet er dedikeret til Alexis Grigoropoulos, den 15-årige studerende, der blev dræbt af politiet under protesterne i Grækenland i december 2008.

Info: Noget så sjældent som anarkistisk punk fra Kathmandu, Nepal. Nepal Ko Katha Haru ("Historier fra Nepal) er bandets seneste album. Rai Ko Ris spillede i Danmark under My World Images festivalen i sensommeren 2010, bl.a. på Støberiet på Blågårds Plads i København.

VA - Piratfest 11.11.11.

Info: Graa Blog præsenterede for nyligt en helt ny piratcd fra 2010, som siden er hentet i det hidtil største antal i bloggens historie. Det skal markeres - og det sker med en klassiker i genren og vel sagtens en af de tidligste piratcd'ere uddelt i København. Denne ramte gaden ved en piratfest på Bispevej 2 i København den 11. 2006 november kl. 23.00 (hvoraf titlen).

Kort og godt: piratmusik!

Info: Grey Blog recently presented an entirely new piratcd from 2010, which has since been retrieved in the largest number in the blog's history. It should be highlighted - and this happens with a classic in the genre and surely one of the earliest piratcd'ere distributed in Copenhagen. This hit the street at a pirate party at 2 Bispevej in Copenhagen on 11 November 2006 at 23.00 (explaining the title).

In short: pirate music!
